1. TWO BEDROOM, 1190
sq.ft. Very
functional 2 bedroom home with efficient use of space, charming
details and a great feel. Passive
solar design, roof water harvesting, natural materials, design
is based on Bau-Biology principles. Colored
concrete slab with solar radiant heat. Energy Star certification

2. THE STUDIO,
1200 sq.ft.: High performance
green building, ideal for creative work or live-in situation.
Cool contemporary design and details with high ceilings and lots
of light and space. Open joint wood siding and corrugated metal
on the exterior. The large roof overhangs provide for a tremendous
rain collection surface that feed into 6000 gallon sub grade
cisterns. Concrete floors with radiant solar heat, Energy Star

3. TWO BEDROOM 1250 sq.ft. residence with
possible 3rd bedroom extension. Super energy efficient, low carbon footprint design with super low heating, hot water and electricity bills. This house can be built to meet the Passive House Standard. (Click here for pictures) Compressed Earth block/ wood frame hybrid with cellulose insulation.
In-floor radiant heat with solar collectors. Highly energy efficient
design with efficient use of space. Natural finishes with earthen
plasters and aspen T&G ceilings. This home performs (3) times better than Energy Star and can easily be
upgraded to become carbon neutral.
